Obviously we are all aware of the recession but despite all the ‘doom and gloom’ then there are still some tremendous opportunities out there and these exhibitions offer both suppliers and buyers a way forward in difficult times.

Admittedly the cost of exhibiting or visiting at exhibitions is expensive but from a supplier’s point of view then there is nothing more rewarding than the opportunity of having a ‘one-to-one’ discussion on your stand with a potential buyer to show your range of  products and explain the company’s plans for the future. Many smaller suppliers never get the chance to meet with the ‘major players’ and exhibitions for them should be seen as an opportunity not to be missed. There is also the added bonus of attracting some overseas business and we ourselves at Cathedral now supply products to several European countries, through contacts made at exhibitions.

Likewise, the shows hopefully give buyers their own opportunity to see new products and meet both old and possible new vendors in a more relaxed atmosphere away from the office.

We at Cathedral have just returned from a very successful trip to the far East and apart from visiting several factories we took in both the Canton Fair and Paperworld Shanghai, which proved very worthwhile with regard to sourcing new products.

Exhibitions have played a very important part in the growth and development of our own company and that is why we will again be at both Paperworld and SOPX in the New Year.

SUPPLIERS NEED BUYERS AND BUYERS NEED SUPPLIERS – WHY NOT GET TOGETHER AT ONE OF THE SHOWS!!
