Pouch detection and speed adjustment technology are just two of the design advantages of Fellowes new Voyager A3 laminator, which has been added to the company's portfolio of binding and laminating equipment. Other additions include a new line of thermal binding machines featuring a HeatShield safety barrier for ultimate user protection.
The Voyager A3 laminator is designed for heavy use in the office environment and has been engineered to provide performance and perfect results every time. It is said to improve efficiency, durability and ease of use with features such as Autolam pouch detection and speed adjustment, which automatically finds the optimum speed/heat combination for different lamination applications. It also has a patented CleanMe glue sensor, which warns the user to clean the laminator internally if glue or dirt has built up and an EasiAccess opening mechanism so users can carry out cleaning and maintenance for consistent, high quality lamination and machine longevity.
Safety has also been addressed with HeatGaurd technology, designed to reduce the surface temperature by up to 50 per cent, ensuring the laminator is always safe to touch. Heated belt-driven technology is also said to provide jam-proof laminating, with instant changes between different pouches and no heat-up or cool-down time.
Laminating up to A3 size, the Voyager is ready to use in just four minutes and includes an LCD interface, adjustable entry guide and active cooling system, said to provide easy use and perfect results every time.
Fellowes applied the same consumer insights and sleek design to the development of its new Helios series of thermal binding machines. The Helios 30 and Helios 60 can bind up to 300 and 600 sheets respectively. Both models feature a HeatShield safety barrier, designed to prevent accidental contact with the heating plate, for ultimate user safety.
Key additional features include: a fast heat up time of three minutes, combined with audio and visual indicators which signal when the machine is ready to use. An automatic shut-off cuts in when the machine is not in use.
Further benefits of the advanced Helios 60 include the ability to detect the spine width of the document being bound. The binding cycle is then automatically adjusted to match.
According to Fellowes European marketing director for business machines, Tyron Hill, the new Voyager A3 and Helios range have set a benchmark for the industry. "The new machines have been developed based on our consumer insight: just like the rest of the Fellowes range. The Voyager A3 takes office lamination to a new level, making it easier than ever to achieve perfect results, every time. Once again, we have brought new features and new innovations to a very traditional market. Our new Helios thermal binders are easy and instinctive to use and wouldn't look out of place in even the most stylish of offices, which certainly hasn't been the case up until now."
The entire Fellowes range of business machines is designed to be user-friendly, reliable, compact and visually pleasing, ensuring a combination which both the end user and the dealer will appreciate.
Tyron Hill concluded: "The way we have developed our whole range means the dealer can concentrate on building a profitable consumables business around the Fellowes machines they sell."
