  • Blood blows away rivals at RH Chairs tournament

    A day of great golf and glorious sunshine was enjoyed by participants in RH Chairs' sixth annual "British Blasters" golf tournament at Badgemore Park in Henley. Representatives from Holland and Denmark were amongst the 14 teams competing, with Brighton's "Posture People" (pictured below) eventually emerging victorious.

    In recent years, cases of identity fraud have risen and the issue is currently an ongoing concern to the general public and businesses alike. In October 2005 the National Identity Fraud Prevention campaign was launched to address these concerns. The campaign was founded by various leading organisations from both the public and private sectors and occurs annually in October. Although it was founded to raise awareness about the potential dangers of identity fraud, one market in particular has benefited from our identity fraud concerns and that is the shredder market.

    The Forum of Private Business (FPB) is warning that small firms handling or storing credit card information must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), or face a fine, paying the full cost of an intrusive audit and having their ability to process credit card payments withdrawn completely in the event of fraud. According to the latest figures from the Association of Payments and Clearing Services (APACS), payment card fraud is increasing. Financial losses went up by 14 per cent to £301.7 million in the first six months of 2008.
